Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has successfully scaled the PDP governorship screening exercise ahead of the 2027 Ogun State gubernatorial election, strengthening momentum behind his aspiration to lead the state toward purposeful governance and sustainable development.

Oladipupo Adebutu’s aspiration to lead Ogun State received a major boost on Thursday, May 14, 2026, as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Screening Committee officially cleared him to contest in the party’s governorship primary ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement made available to the press on Saturday by Adebutu’s media aide, Afolabi Orekoya, the screening exercise, held at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, brought together governorship aspirants from across the country for the party’s mandatory verification and eligibility process.
The statement noted that Adebutu, a prominent PDP chieftain and one of the leading political voices in Ogun State, successfully passed the screening process, reaffirming his readiness for the race ahead.
