The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, House of Representatives Candidate, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA, vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at the lower Chambers of the national assembly has advised Ogun residents against selling their votes to the ruling party who have put them into misery and hardship.
Chief Toyin Amuzu said it has become very clear that the ruling party and its people have nothing to offer at this point.
The House of Representatives hopeful stated this on Wednesday while donating in the name of PDP, a borehole water project to residents of Isale-Igbehin Barracks Community in Abeokuta area of Ogun State, who are mainly Police officers wives and families.
The donor who lamented the pains and hardship the people are presently going through said, those in power do not understand governance or how to go about reducing the hardship of the people.
He said, “I don’t know if that is due to incompetence or whether it is intentional. This government do not understand they are there to make ways and make things easy for the people with their programmes and policies. But instead they don’t seem to know or care. But I’m sure they will start coming soon with Greek gift after abandoning the people for too long”.
Chief Amuzu who advised the people to reject the Greek gift warned that they should not sell their votes or else the sufferings would continue as these set of people would abandon them again.
The residents of Isale-Igbehin Barracks Community described the People’s Democratic Party, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA as a God sent and blessing to Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
The women coordinator, Mrs Charity Alfred while speaking on behalf of the Barracks Community, thanked the donor for his magnanimity saying the residents have suffered water scarcity for too long as the only borehole in the barracks could not serve them effectively.
She said it was a surprise that the Reps candidate of the PDP could take it upon itself within a spate of time even without holding any political position.
Mrs Alfred described Chief Toyin Amuzu as a blessing and God sent whom God have been using to relieve the sufferings and pains of the people.
The Youth leader in the Community who corraborated her words said many politicians go about deceiving the people stressing that Chief Amuzu is unique and straight forward.
He assured that the residents would reciprocate the good gesture while noting that the donor has been demonstrating his capability and love for the people.
The Ogun Central Senatorial candidate of the PDP, Chief Olumide Aderinokun who was joined by the House of Assembly candidates for Constituency 1 and 2, Chief Lukman Atobatele and Hon Idowu Olowofuja respectively, latter commissioned and handed over the water project to the barracks community.
