In another remarkable demonstration of support for Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi’s aspiration to become the next governor of Ogun State in 2027, two illustrious sons of the state have donated a newly constructed, multimillion-naira duplex office to support his governorship campaign.
The donors, Chief Shakiru Abiodun Jimson, the Bobaselu of Igbeyin, Egbaland, and Chief Sobowale Mutiu Ayinla, the Gbobaniyin of Isale Igbein, Egbaland, also provided a solar-powered borehole for the benefit of the community. The fully furnished and branded campaign office is located at Obada, along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, in Ewekoro Local Government Area.
According to a report from the media team at the commissioning ceremony, which was attended by Senator Adeola, Chief Jimson explained that their decision to support the Senator’s governorship ambition was motivated by his impressive performance in Ogun State and at the national level as a distinguished legislator.
He further disclosed that, in addition to the office and solar-powered borehole, the duo would donate two branded campaign buses and a cooling van to facilitate the distribution of bottled water bearing the Senator’s campaign branding.
Commissioning the office and borehole, Senator Adeola expressed profound appreciation to the two benefactors, whom he said he was meeting for the first time. He promised to personally utilise the facility during the campaign and beyond.
The Senator recalled that he had visited Ewekoro Local Government Area only the previous day for a stakeholder town hall meeting, during which he promised to accord the area a place of pride if elected governor. He noted that the generous gesture by the two donors had further strengthened his resolve to prioritise the development of Ewekoro.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Baaroyin Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola and
Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee APC Campaign Council, Ogun State, the commissioning ceremony was witnessed by several dignitaries, including Chief Sina Adegbenro, an elder statesman and former commissioner in Ogun State; Apostle Sanyaolu, Deputy Director-General (Central), Ogun State APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council; Hon. Yemi Adelani, APC State Organising Secretary; and Hon. Sikiru Adesina Eskay, Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area, among others.
