The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday visited the residence of late retired broadcaster, Ms. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, who were recently found dead under yet-to-be-disclosed circumstances.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ogun State Police Command to unravel the mystery surrounding the tragic deaths and intensify investigations into the disturbing incident.
During the on-the-spot assessment, CP Ojajuni inspected the premises and received detailed briefings from detectives handling the case. He reiterated the Command’s determination to ensure that all those connected to the incident are identified, apprehended, and prosecuted.
In a major breakthrough, police operatives have recovered the Lexus RX300 earlier reported missing from the residence. The vehicle was reportedly recovered during a night operation and has since been secured as a critical exhibit in the investigation.
Speaking during the visit, the Commissioner of Police expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured residents of Ogun State that the Command is deploying all available resources to track down the perpetrators.
He further stated that significant progress is being made in the investigation, adding that the police would continue to keep the public informed as new developments emerge.
The deaths of Ms. Oyesiku and her security guard have generated concern among residents, with many calling for a swift and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
