All seemed not to be well with the family of the Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, as his second daughter, Mrs Jayne Edidiong Ufot, has accused him of using his deceased wife (her mother), Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno for ritual sacrifice.
The Daily Crucible reports that Governor Eno’s wife of 38 years, Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience (Oluwakemi) Umo Eno, passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024 over an undisclosed illness.
The Governor who addressed the citizens of Akwa Ibom State at the time in a broadcast to announce the death, said Kemi was everything a man could ever wished for in a virtuous woman.
He described her glowingly as “My prayer partner, counsellor, cheer-leader, best critic, home maker and permanently smiling.”
However, events unfolding in the family raised concern over the state of harmony there. According to the Peoples Gazette, Mrs Ufot in a video posted on social media is making a disturbing accusation against her father, Governor Eno.
Mrs Ufot, who was appointed as a senior special adviser to her father (the Governor) on health, safety and environment, launched the scathing attacks on her father, warning that she would not be killed the way her mother was, even as alleged a sinister threat to her life and that of her little daughter.
“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” said the Governor’s daughter.
In the video, Mrs Ufot handed the phone to her little daughter, who seemed to be on a video call with Mr Eno.
Ufot instructed her daughter to ask the Governor(her grandpa) whether he wanted to kill her (his grandchild).
“So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us?” the minor asked, repeating the question as instructed. “Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?”
Though, there was no audible response from the Governor during the blood – chilling exchange, however, it still remains a matter of conjecture who the child was referring to when she mentioned “them.”
Mrs Ufot alleged that her life was on the line but did not disclose the nature of it and the source(s), which some people believe may soon come to light.
“If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” the Governor’s daughter stated.
