The family of matriarch, Deaconess Doyinsola Ogunbiyi has announced her peaceful passing.
Deaconess Ogunbiyi, a three – time Commissioner in Ogun State, passed away on November 11, 2024.
In announcing her demise with thanks to the Almighty God for a life well spent, the family said her final burial arrangements would be made known in due course, according to an official release by Oluwatosin Taiwo on behalf of the family
The family also urged friends, family, and well-wishers to join them in sharing the fond memories and condolences with them as they celebrate the life of the extraordinary woman and ex – commissioner of Information in Ogun State.
“It is with deep sorrow, yet in full submission to the will of God and gratitude for a life well-lived, that we, the children (Oluwatosin, Oluwatobiloba, Boluwatife, and Olaoluwa), along with the Adesina family, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Deaconess Doyin Ogunbiyi, on November 11th, 2024.
“A devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, she led a life of selfless service. Her remarkable legacy includes her influential career as a broadcaster at NTA Abeokuta, a prominent figure in the public relations industry, her service as a Commissioner in Ogun State across three ministries, first female Commissioner of Works and Housing among other firsts.
“She also served as chairperson of various boards, a community activist, philanthropist, lifetime Matron of the Ijamido Motherless Babies Home, Convener of Voice of Ogun Women, Fellow of various professional institutes and mentor and light to many.
“Her warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Details regarding the burial arrangements and homegoing celebration will be shared in due time.
