Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara West) has donated 500 cows to members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Gusau by Alhaji Ibrahim Birninmagaji, Chairman of the Publicity Committee of Yari’s Political Organisation.
Yari represents Zamfara West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
According to the statement, the cows were distributed to APC members and stakeholders across the 147 political wards in the state’s 14 local government areas.
The beneficiaries, it said, included party support groups, elders, ward executives, members of Senator Yari’s political structure, supporters of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, as well as new APC members who recently joined the party under Governor Dauda Lawal.
The statement described the donation as part of Yari’s annual initiative aimed at supporting party leaders and members during festive periods.
“The gesture also covers logistics and other expenses related to the distribution of three cows to each of the 147 wards across the state,” the statement added.
It noted that the donation was intended to ease the burden of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration for party members and supporters.
The statement further urged residents of the state to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the country, especially for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
