Renowned researcher in Biotechnology, Bamidele Fagbohunka, has called on the sons and daughters of Ikaleland – at home and in diaspora, to join hands to develop Ikale, Ondo State and Nigeria for the betterment of all.
Fagbohunka, who is of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, also enjoined the good and well meaning people of Ikale land to embrace and support Ikale Club for the development of Ikale land.
He made the appeal shortly after he was elected President of the Club on December 28, 2024 during its end of the year party, where Apostle Oluwanbe Ogunbameru also emerged as the General Secretary.
Also, Mr. Felix Obateru, was elected Treasurer while Pharm. (Mrs.) Dele-Fagbohunka became a member.
Otunba (Barr.) Olusegun Otayemi stepped in as the club’s Chairman, Board of Trustee.
Also speaking at the occasion that had Professor Dayo Faduyile, Hon. Bayo Ikubuwaje (Baba Oba), Mr. Kunle Ijose, Mrs Modupe Olatemiju, Mr. Edonmo Erioluwa, Miss Patience Bamidele, Mr. Mayokun Fakuyi among others in attendance, Prof. Faduyile as well as Hon. Ikubuwaje (Baba Oba) hailed Ikale Club, describing it as the “right choice of Club for all patriotic indigenes and residents of Ikale.”
