The Asagba of Asaba, HRM (Prof) Epiphany Azinge, SAN, has inaugurated the Omeifeoma Ahaba, Chief (Barr.) Theodore Giwa – Amu, as the Anya Asagba of Asagba Palace Zone Asaba, Delta State.
Anya Asagba is a deserving member of a community who supports the Asagba in ensuring peace, unity, harmony, security, progress and development of the community within the Asagba’s domain.
HRM Azinge commended residents of the Palace zone for receiving him warmly and emphasized there were lots of work to be done in terms of security and educating non – indigenes in understanding the customs and traditions of the Land.
He explained that security is very vital, just as he stressed that the weekly sanitation should be taken seriously as as popular saying states that cleanliness is next to godliness.
The revered monarch charged all Anya Asagba in Asaba to endeavour to attend all Asagba in Council meetings because it will bring information to the grassroots.
He recalled that during the last Asagba in Council meeting, Iron scavengers had been banned from parading the streets of Asaba and anyone seen scavenging for iron should be charged to face the appropriate law.
The Asagba alluded to the fact that the area needs Police sign post but urged the residents to form a very formidable Vigilante groups as their request will be channeled to the appropriate authorities
He also charged the residents of Asagba Palace zone to think alike in contributing to the development and safety and cleanliness of their areas, emphasizing that government cannot do everything for a people.
The revered monarch revealed that he had requested for 2,000 solar lights from the Rural Electrification agency Abuja to help luminate Asaba Community and improve livelihood of residents of the kingdom. 
The monarch congratulated Chief Theodore Giwa-Amu, the Anya Asagba Palace zone and all Coordinators of other axes of the zone, charging them to be good ambassadors.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Chief Theodore Giwa – Amu described it as the beginning of a new era of collective responsibility for the greater good of the community.
The Omeifeoma Ahaba said she was highly excited to witness the inauguration, which embodied the cooperation she had been looking forward to in the area, and solicited the support of members of the executives and residents of the zones in implementing the policies of the Asagba of Asaba.
Speaking earlier Ogbueshi (Prof.) Emmanuel Onwuka, Co-ordinator of Standard life Road axis and spokesman of Palace Zone sincerely appreciated HRM Asagba Azinge for understanding the yearnings of his people. He explained that the palace zone comprises of Jesus Saves road axis, Agric road axis, Graceville axis, standard life road axis,Royal Mira road axis etc.
Ogbueshi Onwuka further expressed excitement about the initiative of appointing the Anya Asagba of the area, stating that the palace zone will collaborate in bringing the best Brains to bear on the running of the area.
He therefore appealed for the support of HRM Asagba Azinge in ideas and reforms that will help achieve results.
Mr Joe Onyeisi who happened to be a resident of Jesus Save appreciated the monarch for the wonderful initiatives to foster collaboration between residents of the area to tackle insecurity challenges.
Mrs Sarah Nwabueze, a resident from the Graceville axis expressed appreciation to his Majesty about the initiative, she further explained that scavengers (popular know as Iron condem) are the major terror to the present day security, She appealed to HRM Asagba Azinge to use his good office and approach relevant agencies for solar street lights to help lighten up the area as it will go a long way in securing the area .
Ogbueshi Felix ijeh, Co ordinator of one of the areas appreciated HRM for being proactive in appointing Chief Theodore Giwa-Amu (Omeifeoma Ahaba) as Anya Asagba Palace zone.
He further appealed to HRM that the Zone is a big area and thinks deserve a police station to help checkmate criminal activities in the environs.
