As the crisis rocking the Labour Party (LP) festers, the Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa has disbanded the Obi/Datti Presidential campaign council with immediate effect.
Mr. Lamidi Apapa who cited weighty allegations against the National Chairman, Julius Abure, and the party’s Presidential candidate, alleged that Obi didn’t follow due process to clinch the party ticket.
He also wondered why Peter Obi allegedly disregarded the Federal High Court order that places a restraining order on Julius Abure from parading itself as National Chairman.
The Acting chairman reckoned that thr alleged disobedience could breed civil unrest.
He said, ”Peter Obi is not fit to govern Nigeria for his involvement in the gross disobedience to the FCT high court order as this is an evidence that he will cause civil unrest. Turn Nigeria to a banana republic and lawlessness where rule of law will be a thing of the past.
“Finally, the National working committee of our party and I hereby dissolve the Obi/Datti Presidential campaign council with immediate effect.”
