The Dein Royal Palace of Agbor has announced the indefinite suspension of Chief Theresa Ugbobu, holder of the title Ezioku ke-Dein Chor of Agbor Kingdom, following allegations of misconduct and what authorities described as her “unremorseful conduct.”
In an official directive issued by the palace, the monarch (HRM) approved the decision after deliberations on the matter, effectively stripping the chief of all privileges associated with her position within the kingdom.
The suspension bars Ugbobu from further participation in palace activities and prohibits her from approaching the palace environment indefinitely. She has also been directed to hand over all palace properties in her possession to the Secretariat of the Dein Royal Palace Agbor (DRPA).
In a related development, the order extends to her mother, Madam Ugbobu, also known as Ekuabon, who is equally restricted under the same directive.
The palace emphasized that the decision takes immediate effect and urged members of the community to take note for compliance and guidance.
Despite the stern action, the statement concluded with an expression of appreciation from the monarch to subjects for their continued service and loyalty to the Agbor Kingdom.
