Popular Nollywood actress and producer Laide Bakare has stirred fresh buzz in the entertainment scene after revealing plans to walk down the aisle for the third time.
The actress made the disclosure during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where she spoke candidly about her past relationships and her expectations for the future.
Despite having been married twice before, Bakare described her forthcoming union as her first “official” marriage, signaling a new chapter in her personal life.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said.
While she confirmed that preparations are already underway, the actress kept details of her fiancé and wedding date under wraps, fueling curiosity among fans and followers.
Bakare’s relationship history has been closely followed over the years. Her first marriage was to U.S.-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. After their separation, she tied the knot again in 2012 with Mutairu Atanda Orilowo, a union that produced two sons.
However, the second marriage later hit the rocks following reports that Orilowo was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraud.
Now, with a fresh start on the horizon, Bakare appears optimistic, hinting that this next chapter may finally bring the stability and fulfillment she seeks.
