The Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, widely known as DJ Cuppy, is leaning into a more grounded, less flashy approach to relationships—one shaped by curiosity, self-awareness, and a willingness to step outside expectations.
Speaking candidly recently on the ZEZE Millz Show, the 33-year-old revealed that her dating preferences have evolved. While she has met men from various walks of life, she now finds herself drawn to a quieter type.
“I’ve dated a bus driver… well, okay, let me not say ‘dated,’ I’ve gone on a date with a bus driver. And there’s nothing wrong with that! No. I’ve literally gone on a date with this annoying guy that lives with his mom, I’ve gone on a date with a model, I’ve been on a date with a footballer… so many!
“I’ve dated all kinds of men—well, not every single kind, but a lot of different types. What I find is working for me right now is the 9-to-5, no social media, super-like-doesn’t-care type,” she said.
In a world where visibility often defines desirability, Cuppy’s shift feels almost rebellious.
She spoke about meeting potential partners on exclusive dating platforms, adding with a laugh: “I find them on apps. I’m on Raya, but I’m also on something called ‘The League’ as well… ‘The League’ is definitely £400 to join, I can’t lie.”
