As part of efforts to advance the governorship ambition of former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Support Group Organisation (MAASGO) has concluded plans to stage a solidarity rally in Keffi on Monday.
Tagged “Mega Rally in Keffi for Ex-IGP M.A. Adamu Mandate for Governor 2027, Nasarawa State,” the event aims to galvanise grassroots support and promote Adamu’s candidacy ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to the rally itinerary, supporters will converge at the Nasarawa State University (NSUK) Gate in Keffi, before embarking on a procession through key parts of the town.
Speaking on the rationale for the rally, MAASGO member Awal Nurain described Adamu as a proven leader with a distinguished record of service in the police force.
“I am convinced that retired IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has what it takes to lead Nasarawa State as governor. His rise through the ranks to become IGP speaks volumes about his competence and leadership,” he said.
Nurain added that the people of Nasarawa State stand to benefit from Adamu’s experience, stressing that the group is fully committed to mobilising support for his candidacy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
