Delta North has been urged to seize the opportunity of the 2027 general elections to chart a new political course, as calls grow for improved governance, accountability, and inclusive development across the senatorial district.
In a statement titled “A Call to Rise and Reclaim Our Future,” ADC senatorial aspirant, Utomi Nwanne, said the district stands at a defining moment, stressing that the aspirations of the people have long been undermined by leadership that prioritises promises over performance.
According to him, communities across Delta North—including Ika, Aniocha, Oshimili, and Ndokwa—have continued to demand better representation, youth empowerment, and tangible infrastructure development, noting that these expectations remain largely unmet.
He argued that the time has come for voters to move beyond party loyalty and political rhetoric, and instead embrace leadership anchored on competence, accountability, and service delivery.
Nwanne described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a credible alternative, positioning the party as a platform driven by integrity, inclusion, and a commitment to restoring public trust in governance.
“The question before us is simple but critical: do we continue on this familiar path, or do we choose a new direction that puts the people first?” he asked.
He further emphasised that the 2027 elections present more than a routine political exercise, but a chance for Delta North to redefine its future and align with what he described as a growing national movement for impactful leadership.
Calling on residents to take an active role in shaping the district’s future, the aspirant urged unity and informed decision-making ahead of the polls.
“This is our time to rise, to choose wisely, and to stand for a better tomorrow,” he said.
