The Ogun Governor’s Elders Advisory Council has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun on completion of some projects inherited from his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
The Council advised Governor Abiodun to remain focused on improving the lots of the state through more people-oriented projects.

Chairman of the Council, Chief Oluleye Okuboyejo who gave the commendation on Tuesday at the Council’s End of Year meeting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said that “the real selling point for this administration are confirmations that projects inherited from previous administrations are being completed.”
According to Okuboyejo, the Governor deserves a second term in office because the “story of his good performance continued to rend the air.”
He urged members of the council to contribute their quotas in any way possible to complement the gains of the present administration.
Dapo Abiodun, to many citizens of Ogun, didn’t perform to expectations as far as infrastructure is concerned with examples:
1. Abeokuta to Lagos is and continues to be in a highly deplorable condition.
2. The grassroots in Ogun State has been totally neglected during Dapo’s reign.
3. The Ota to Idiroko boarder Federal trunk “A” Ecowas road continues to be neglected with innocent lives lost to accidents on daily basis.
4. Schools, health facilities, portable water supply at the grassroots is non-existent.
5. On the Awori-Yewa axis, local/state government roads are mostly now impassable.
6. Dapo Abiodun’s governance can only be felt at Abeokuta, the state capital and Ijebu-Remo of Ogun State where he comes from.
7. With the amount of revenue generated from the Agbara/Igbessa industrial estate, still there isn’t much to write home about regarding rural development of the Awori land on which the only industrial estate in the state is located!
