A legal scholar, Professor Yemi Oke, SAN, of MJS Partners – a firm of lawyers, has formally written to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tokunbo Talabi, and Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, requesting them to furnish his office with relevants documents pertaining to the reconstruction of Assembly and Commissioners’ Quarters as well as the relocation, compensation and public – purpose plan of NATA(Mechanic Village).
In the letter dated November 18, 2025 and addressed to Governor Abiodun, SSG Talabi and Speaker Elemide, Prof. Oke who made the request on behalf of his clients – African Democratic Comgress(ADC) and Coalition for United Political Parties (CUPP) in Ogun State, New Egba Initiative Agenda, National Publicity Secretary and other leaders of the Labour Party in Ogun State, warned
that the legal firm would be be left with no other alternative(s) than to commence legal proceedings against them and other relevant agencies with a view
to seeking appropriate restraining orders on the subject matters of the Notice.
He listed the documents as:(1) Certified Trues Copies (if any) of the budget approval or any
supplementary budget approvals by the Ogun State House of
Assembly;
(2) Certified True Copies (if any) of the extracts of the Ogun State
Executive Council approval for the demolition and
construction of the subject matter projects;
(3) Certified True Copies (if any) of the Memo by the Ministry of
Housing seeking approval of the Ogun
State Executive Council on the subject matter projects;
(4) Certified Trues Copies (if any) of the approval of the Executive
Council granted to the Ministry of Housing for the demolition
and reconstruction of the subject matter projects;
and
(5) Compensation and Relocation plans for the NATA Village
(Mechanic Village) at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta which was
originally acquired from the original owners for “overriding
public purpose”; and
(6) The intended Public-Purpose Usage Plan of the NATA
Village (Mechanic Village) at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta which
was originally acquired from the original owners for
“overriding purpose.”

We write as Counsel to the Coalition for United Political Parties (CUPP) and

National Publicity Secretary and other leaders of the Labour Party in Ogun
State hereinafter referred to as our “Clients”.
We refer to our Clients letters respectively dated 5th and 6th November (to SSG), 5th and
6th November (to Commissioner for Housing); 5th
, 7th and 11th November (to Rt. Hon
Speaker, OGHA) from our Clients. Acknowledged copies of the above referenced letters

Our Clients have requested us to make a written demand for the following documents and
information relating to certain public transactions and activities under your supervision.
Given the above background, we hereby request you to forward the documents and
information listed below to our office not later than seven (7) days from the service and
receipt of this letter:

than to commence legal proceedings against you and other relevant agencies with a view
to seeking appropriate restraining orders on the subject matters of this Notice.
