The chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations and senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola has expressed shock and sadness at the passing away of Mrs. Risikat Jumoke Agunbiade, mother of Prince Agunbiade Abdulwaasi Nurudeen, the Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, TORAN.
Mrs Jumoke Agunbiade, a business woman and philanthropist, died on Sunday, February 9 after a brief illness.
The demise of the religious and philanthropic community leader of Ado Odo Ota LGA was announced by his son popularly called “Yayi Agbara” yesterday.
In a condolence message to the family of the TORAN chairman through Chief Kayode Odunaro, his media adviser, Senator Adeola described the late Mrs. Agunbiade as a humane and dedicated community leader who will be missed not only by her family and associates , but the entire people of Ado Odo Ota LGA and Ogun State .
“I received the new of the passage of Madam Agunbiade with shock and sadness. She was a compassionate woman that always put the interest of the people first. The nation will miss her services at this time,“ the statement reads.
The Senator who is also the Aremo of Yewaland prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and the fortitude for members of her family and associates to bear the irreparable loss of a dearly beloved one.
