A United Kingdom -based charity organisation working to reduce the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria, Ibironke Adeagbo Foundation, has commenced sales of ticket for its 4th Annual Black-Tie Charity Ball 2023.
The theme of this year’s edition is “Securing the Future: the Imperative of Education for all. The event is scheduled to hold physically in London on Saturday, 18th March 2023 by 4pm.
Early Bird tickets sales at 70 pounds and available up till 28th February 2023. Cost of regular ticket is 80 Pounds; Table for 10 at 650 Pounds. Tickets are available on event-brit, and on the Foundation’s website, www.ia-foundation.org.
The event organiser, IA-Foundation which is also a registered nonprofit organisation in Nigeria, has put 100 children back in school across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara, Delta, Nasarawa and FCT, Abuja.
The Foundation has also distributed over 3,000 learning resources that benefited over 100 households across the country.
The event which attracts highly profiled Nigerian, corporate organization and businesses in the United Kingdom and beyond is organised to enlighten Nigerians in diaspora about the education deficit in Nigeria while mobilising resources to combat the menace of 20.2million out-of-school children in the country.
The event also features guest speeches, award, raffle draw, American auction, fundraising, with music and dance by the Best DJ in the UK, DJ Abass.All funds generated through this event is channeled towards provision of bursary to support the education of children who are out of school, with keen interest on the girl child, orphans, physically challenged and underserved children in hard to reach communities.
Among dignitaries that have confirmed attendance at the event are the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola; former CBN Governor and 14th Emir of Kanu, His Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi; the President of the Nigerian British Business Forum (NBBF), Prince Afolabi Andu; and Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi of Love of Christ Generation Church.
