An opposition politician from Ogun Central, Dr Abayomi Arabambi, has expressed grave concern over what it described as the worsening state of road infrastructure in the state, particularly in Ogun Central, lamenting that the Egba Alake and Egbaland risk becoming inaccessible due to the deplorable roads in the Senatorial District.
Arabambi who is the National Publicity Secretary of Barr. Julius Abure – led opposition Labour Party(LP), therefore, appealed to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to lend helping hands to the Ogun Central and intervene in the bad road challenges confronting Egbaland.
In an open letter addressed to the Senator representing Ogun West in the 10th Senate, Arabambi said that the call on the Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriations to intervene becomes necessary and inevitable as it has also become increasingly clear that none of the lawmakers representing the zone is ready to take any step to address the pathetic roads situation in Ogun Central.
The LP chieftain also passionately urged YAYI and Aremo of Yewaland, who is said to have ambition to govern the Gateway State in 2027 to look beyond party line or senatorial constituency and take the request as a call to use his goodwill and political clout to draw the federal government’s support to address the worsening road challenges, saying in the end, the indigenes and residents will be the ultimate beneficiaries, not political parties if rehabilitated or fixed.

We Appeal To You To Heed The Cry Of An Abandoned Senatorial District
Distinguished Senator,
We, the people of Ogun State, write to you with deep respect and a heart of appreciation. We are proud of your enviable record of service and the transformative touch you have brought to governance. Your commitment to the upliftment of lives, your passion for development, and your selfless leadership have endeared you not only to the people of Ogun West whom you directly represent, but to the entire Ogun State.
We fully understand that your senatorial mandate primarily covers Ogun West Senatorial District, and we commend your tireless efforts in that regard. Indeed, the people of Yewaland have every reason to be
proud of your leadership, as you continue to deliver projects, empower lives, and drive meaningful change.
We are also aware that it’s expedient for our Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun to spend more to develop roads and other infrastructures in ogun east because of the Airport already in operation there so as to attract investors to Ogun State which is been complimented by the Distinguished Sen and Former Governor of Ogun state His excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel(OGD)
However, Distinguished Senator, we appeal to your large heart and your well-known love for the entire Ogun populace to please extend your benevolent political and developmental gestures to other parts of the state, particularly Ogun Central Senatorial District, where many of our roads have become a death trap , nearly impassable and which is gradually pushing Egba Land into extinction
Communities in Ogun Central are daily faced with the agony of bad roads, which has crippled movement, trade, and economic activity that has perpetually relegated Egba land to a village while Ogun East and Ogun west are now looking like a small London
Some of the roads that needs your urgent intervention with street lights before Egba Land goes into extinction includes
