Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, is expected to be docked today and put on trial by the Federal Government over alleged economic sabotage-related crimes.
Emefiele is also expected to be docked at a Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A notice for his trial before Justice Hamza Muazu, according to a source, indicates that the ex-CBN Governor may be docked along with one Ramalan Yaro, barring any changes.
He would be brought before the court this Friday morning for his guilty or not guilty plea to be taken.
The former CBN governor is equally expected to be produced in court by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Matthew Burkaa, who signed an undertaking to produce him in Court for trial when he was granted bail by Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi, of the FCT High Court.
