The Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, on Tuesday, has held that the owner of Hilton Hotel Ile-Ile, Osun State, Dr Rahman Adedoyin, is culpable in the gruesome killing of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University.
The Chief Judge in her judgement held that the owner of the hotel and two of his staff following the circumstances of the case as established by the prosecuting counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, are culpable of conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful killing of the deceased.
The judge made this known while reading his judgment during the ongoing trial of Adedoyin and other suspects in Osogbo.
The Daily Crucible had reported how Adegoke had lodged in Hilton Hotels and Resorts in Ile-Ife upon his arrival from Abuja on November 5, 2021 ahead of his examination at the OAU Distance Learning Centre, Moro, Osun State, on November 6 and November 7, 2021.
He went missing and was later found dead and buried in a grave.
Following a police investigation of the hotel owner, Dr Rahman Adedoyin and his workers, they were arrested, prosecuted and found culpable.
