The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man identified as Kola following an allegation of sexual assault involving a 17-year-old boy.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, ordered the immediate arrest of the suspect after the matter was reported at the Adigbe Police Division on September 8, 2026.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the teenager, who was accompanied by his parents, alleged that the suspect sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026 and subsequently threatened him into keeping silent.
Following the report, police took the teenager to a hospital within the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation into the allegation.
The command clarified that the case only came to the attention of the police on September 8, when the teenager and his parents formally reported the matter.
The suspect, Kola, is currently at large, with CP Ojajuni directing detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him.
The police commissioner assured the public that the allegation would be investigated urgently, professionally and sensitively, while reiterating the command’s commitment to protecting children and other vulnerable persons.
The police urged members of the public with relevant information that could assist in locating the suspect to make it available to the authorities.
