The Sector Commander of RS2.2 Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), CC Oludare Ogunjobi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Ogun State and Chairman of the State Road Safety Advisory Council (SARSAC), Noimot Salako-Oyedele, at her office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Ogun Sector Command, who doubles as the spokesperson, disclosed this yesterday.
Odunsi stated that during the visit, Ogunjobi outlined his vision for improving road safety in Ogun State through effective data and intelligence-based traffic management aimed at supporting the state’s security architecture.
He noted that Ogun State, being the gateway to commercial activities in the country, requires a proactive and coordinated approach to traffic management and road safety.
The Sector Commander stated that the FRSC, as the lead agency in traffic management, would continue to ensure the safety of lives and property on highways across the state.
He also commended the Ogun State Government for its investment in road construction and rehabilitation, adding that the Corps would support the government’s efforts by ensuring compliance with traffic rules and regulations among road users.
Ogunjobi further promised prompt rescue services for crash victims and speedy removal of obstructions from roads to ease traffic flow and reduce risks for motorists.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to collaboration with other security and emergency response agencies in the state.
The FRSC commander also assured the Deputy Governor of sustained public enlightenment campaigns aimed at promoting good road safety culture among residents.
Responding, Salako-Oyedele welcomed the Sector Commander to Ogun State and congratulated him on his appointment.
She assured him of the state government’s continued support towards achieving safer roads in the state.
The Deputy Governor expressed satisfaction with the activities of SARSAC and highlighted the positive impact of the “catch them young” road safety initiative in schools, which she said had helped to instill road safety awareness among young people.
She also pledged to continue using her office to promote road safety initiatives across the state.
