The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council has expressed both shock and sadness over the passage of Rev. Fola Achudume, wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, Lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church.
Mrs Fola Achudume died on Saturday, August, 3, 2024.
In a release on Sunday night by Comrades Wale Olanrewaju and Bunmi Adigun, Chairman and Secretary respectively, Ogun NUJ described late Fola Achudume as a visionary leader, devoted wife, loving mother and pillar of strength as well as support who touched lives and inspired countless people within Nigeria and beyond.
The state Council of the journalism body commiserated with its spiritual father and Patron, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, family, friends and the entire congregation of Victory Life Bible Church on the irreparable loss of Mrs Achudume.
“The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council received with rude shock and profound sadness the news of the sudden demise of Reverend Fola Achudume, wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, Lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church, who passed on yesterday, Saturday, 3rd August, 2024.
“As the convener of numerous conferences and founder of impactful initiatives, Reverend Fola Achudume was a visionary leader, devoted wife, loving mother and a pillar of strength and support who touched lives and inspired countless individuals across Nigeria, the UK and the United States of America, including Ogun NUJ whenever her prayers, counsel and guidance were sought.
“We commiserate with our spiritual father and Patron, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, family, friends and the entire congregation of Victory Life Bible Church on this irreparable loss.
“Mrs Achudume was with the Nigeria Television Authority Chapel in January when the Chapel had the new year prayer where she commended the State Council for changing the narrative and also urged the Council Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju to sustain the legacies of the profession and making it formidable.
“We mourn her loss, but celebrate her remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on humanity, praying that her soul is reposed in the bosom of her creator,” the statement read.
