Pastor Ibiyeomie’s Wife Warns Women Against Close Ties With Bitter Divorcees
Pastor Mrs. Peace Ibiyeomie, wife of the founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has advised women to avoid keeping close friendships with divorced women who reject reconciliation or remarriage.
Speaking during a Mother’s Day service on Sunday, Peace Ibiyeomie said some divorced women publicly downplayed the importance of men while secretly maintaining intimate relationships with them.
According to her, women should encourage divorced relatives and friends to either reconcile with their former spouses or remarry instead of developing bitterness toward men and marriage.
She argued that claims that men were unnecessary contradicted the actions of some women who still engaged in relationships with men privately.
“Do not follow a divorcee as your friend, even if she is your sister. Teach her, either she reconciles with her husband or she remarries,” she said.
“She will tell you that men are not important but meanwhile she goes at the back. They keep saying the man is not important, if he is not important, why are you sleeping with him.”
The cleric’s wife also claimed that she had encountered several single women who admitted privately that they still maintained relationships with men despite publicly suggesting otherwise.
“I have seen so many examples of single ladies. Some of them told me the truth that it is a lie, that even as they are in church, they follow men. One opened up so much to me, that is why she wants to remarry,” she added.
She further urged women to be mindful of the company they kept, noting that associations could either positively or negatively influence their lives.
“Therefore, the company you keep will either keep you up or pull you down. Leave a meaningful legacy that you will be remembered for,” she said.
