Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), has mourned the demise of the royal father of Igbogila-Yewa, Ogun State, Oba Ebenezer Olanloye Osungade, describing it as a sad and great loss not only to the people of Igbogila and Yewaland but the entire Ogun State.
Oba Osungade passed on at the age of 96 on March 2. 2024.
In a commiseration message to the people of Igbogila and the Yewa Traditional Council, Senator Adeola said the contribution of the late royal father to the development of Igbogila and Yewaland cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
The Aremo of Yewaland and chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations who conveyed this in a statement by Chief Kayode Odunaro, his media aide, added that the nonagenarian monarch’s role in the unity and progress of the people of Yewaland is commendable.
“We have lost a repository of the history of our people and its culture. This is a great and irreplaceable loss” he stated.
Senator Adeola prayed to God for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed monarch and the fortitude for the immediate family to bear the irreparable loss.
