Nigerian multi-award-winning realtor and philanthropist, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, has restated his commitment to stick to ‘integrity first and principle of building right always,’ which he said, have continued to earn him accolades, awards and recognitions from respected quarters.
Dr. Adeyemo, who is the CEO of a foremost real estate firm in Ogun State; Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, also stated that he would continue to support worthy societal cause, rekindle the hope of Nigerian youths and model integrity, discipline, hard-work and the importance of proper life planning to them.
The realtor stated this shortly after the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) had bestowed National Outstanding Leadership Award on him at a seminar on Sex Education which was organised by the NANS Deputy Senate President, Comrade Ekundina Segun Elvis on Thursday.
Adeyemo, who was represented at the event by Pelican Valley’s Director of Operations, Mr. Ifeoluwa Daniel, and other staff, commended NANS for the Icon of Societal Transformation award given to him in recognition of his “distinctive leadership qualities, immense contribution to Nigeria’s economy, empowerment to the less privileged, undiluted love towards students development and selfless service to humanity.”
He said the seminar tagged, “Sex Education: A Panacea to Indecent dressing, Rape, Unwanted Pregnancy, and Prostitution Eradication,” was an eye opener, adding that it would go a long way towards giving the society the right sex education and curb the high rate of sexual abuses.
The Keynote speaker, Prof. Ashimolowo Olubunmi harped on the need for parents and educational sectors need to educate youngsters on what sex truly is and not myths.
The don recalled that many sex-related cases handled by her organisation and how not having proper sex education has affected the victims.
Eminent personalities at the occasion included Comrade Adeyemi Azeez Amoo, Special Adviser to governor Dapo Abiodun on Student Affairs; Comrade Adeyemi Azeez Amoo and Provost of Federal College of Education Osiele, Dr. Rafiu Adekola Soyele.
