ABUJA: President Bola Tinubu has nominated seven new Ministers in a new restructuring decision aimed at improving government operations.
This is just as President Tinubu dismissed five ministers from his cabinet after scraping the Niger Delta and Sports ministries respectively.
According to the special adviser to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, on Wednesday, the affected ministers are: Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye; Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John; Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo; and Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim.
Also, the seven new ministerial nominees are: Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction); Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Ministry of Livestock Development); Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata (Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development); Suwaiba Said Ahmad PhD (Minister of State Education); Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi (Minister of Labour & Employment); Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu (Minister of State Foreign Affairs) and Dr Jumoke Oduwole (Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment).
The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the presidency after the federal executive council meeting on Wednesday.
He charged the newly appointees to serve the nation and understand his administration’s eagerness and determination to set Nigeria on the path to irreversible growth.
President Tinubu also charged them to invest the best of their abilities into the actualisation of the government’s priorities.
