Publisher of Salient Times Newspaper, Mr Abiodun Peter Taiwo has won the National Merit Newspaper 2023 Man of the Year Award.
In a letter dated dated 28th December, 2023 and addressed to the Publishers of Salient Times, and Global Newshunters newspapers by Mr. Tajudeen Oladehinde, the Publisher of National Merit Newspaper, he said the award was in recognition of Abiodun Peter Taiwo’s doggedness and leadership acumen.
The Award, according to the Newspaper, will be formally presented to Taiwo on a suitable date in February, 2024.
While arriving on the choice of Abiodun Taiwo as the winner of the Award, the Newspaper said it has been monitoring the drive for achievement and roles played by the Publisher of Salient Times; and the Board of National Merit Newspaper saw his doggeddnes and objective reportage of events and has therefore chosen him as the winner of the award among the arrays of men and women of proven integrity who were also nominees for the prestigious award.

Excellence.
“The varied degree of their achievements are rich and fascinating and have also been carved on the marble of history for all to see and possibly
emulate. Many of them started life from obscurity and ended up making a mark in their chosen field of endeavor.
“These leaders have at every time, navigate their organizations to optimally deliver through application of best management of resources as well as excellent corporate governance, in achieving set goals and objectives.
“Though many are Worthy of this honour, but we have had to limit ourselves to a few outstanding ones.
“However, picking a few out of this multitude of achievers for recognition is an arduous task in selecting nominees for edition of the yearly honours.
In the circumstance therefore, we are pleased to inform you that the governing council of this Award had graciously found you worthy of honor and nominated you for the conferment with 2023 MAN OF THE YEAR.

The Conferment ceremony of the Award according to the Newspaper is February, 2024.
Abiodun Peter Taiwo, is a Journalist with more than three decades of experience. He has worked in both government and private establishments both at the middle and managerial level.
He is the Publishers of Salient Times, (on-line and hardcopy) and Global Newshunters (on-line). He is a graduate of Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. He is a fellow of Institute of Corporate Administrations.
