The General Manager of the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), Hon. Kehinde Bello, on Saturday hosted an array of political leaders, government officials, and well-wishers at a grand thanksgiving celebration in honour of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), following their victories in the recently concluded APC primaries.
The event, tagged “Ileya Unity Gathering Thanksgiving Celebration,” was held at Palm View Estate, Ijebu-Ode, and attracted prominent personalities from across Ogun State and beyond.
The gathering provided an opportunity to express gratitude for the continued progress, development, and political stability being witnessed in Ogun State under the leadership of Governor Abiodun, while also celebrating Senator Adeola’s emergence as the APC governorship candidate and his contributions to the growth and development of the state.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kehinde Bello described the celebration as an occasion to thank God for His faithfulness and guidance over the lives and public service careers of both leaders.
He commended Governor Abiodun for his transformative infrastructure projects, economic reforms, and people-centred policies, which he said have continued to position Ogun State as one of Nigeria’s leading investment destinations.
According to him, “As we approach the forthcoming elections, Governor Dapo Abiodun has emerged as the APC candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District, while Senator Olamilekan Adeola has secured the party’s governorship ticket. We are fully committed to ensuring their victory at the polls.”
The OGEPA boss also praised Senator Adeola for his commitment to legislative excellence and grassroots development, noting that his contributions have positively impacted countless lives across the state.
In their goodwill messages, Hon. Samsideen Lawal and Hon. Lukman Adeleye, representing Ogun Waterside and Odogbolu State Constituencies respectively, lauded the leadership qualities of Governor Abiodun and Senator Adeola. They highlighted the duo’s commitment to good governance, sustainable development, and the welfare of the people.
They also commended Hon. Kehinde Bello for organising the thanksgiving celebration, describing it as a reflection of appreciation, unity, and collective progress.
The ceremony featured special prayers for the continued success of the state government, as well as supplications for peace, unity, and prosperity in Ogun State.
The event was further enlivened by a performance from renowned Fuji artiste Taye Currency, adding colour and excitement to the celebration.
