The Women’s Wing of the City Boy Movement in Ogun West Senatorial District has declared its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, pledging commitment to his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The group, whose membership spans the five local government areas in Ogun West, also endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) as the next governor of Ogun State.
This position was announced during the inaugural meeting of the Ogun West Senatorial Executive of the group, held alongside a free medical outreach for the elderly on Wednesday at Orona Hall, Ilaro—the headquarters of Yewa South Local Government Area.
In a unified stance, members, leaders, and supporters of the movement pledged their commitment to the “Tinubu 2027 Agenda.”
They also outlined plans to intensify grassroots political engagement aimed at mobilising rural support for both President Tinubu and Senator Adeola ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the gathering, Olori Adebisi Olaotan, who was formally decorated as the group’s matron, alongside the Legal Adviser, Barrister Titilope Fagbote, urged members not to lose faith in the Tinubu-led administration. She stressed that the President deserves a second term to reposition Nigeria and correct longstanding systemic challenges.
Earlier in her remarks, the Ogun West Senatorial District Women Leader for City Boy Movement, Ogun West Women’s Wing, Alhaja Modinat Adesina, described the event as a moment of unity and renewed commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
She emphasised the importance of sustained grassroots mobilisation in preparation for future elections.
Speaking on the governorship race, Adesina expressed confidence in Adeola’s leadership capacity, noting that his vision and experience make him well-suited to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun.
She also commended Governor Abiodun for his leadership and support, which she described as fostering consensus around Adeola’s candidacy.
As part of the event, the group formally adopted and inaugurated Olori Adebisi Olaotan as its Matron and Barrister Titilope Fagbote as Legal Adviser.
The programme also featured a free medical outreach that catered to over 1,200 elderly residents, underscoring the group’s commitment to humanitarian and community service alongside political advocacy.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries of the free healthcare, Mrs Olusoji Taiwo praised the initiative, noting that it provided practical and affordable insights into the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
