The Ketu people in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State have commended Senator Olamilekan Adeola popularly called YAYI for sponsoring a Bill at the Senate for the establishment of a Federal College of Geological and Cement Studies to be sited in Iseluland.
The Bill had recently passed the first reading stage at the floor of the Senate arm of the National Assembly.
The people acting under the aegis of
Ketu Advancement Forum (KAF), on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Akintude Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom and the entire sons and daughters of Ketu lauded Senator Adeola for his foresight – driven initiative, saying when it eventually sailed through, the College would promote human capital development and support government’s drive towards the diversification of the nation’s economy.
KAF which made this known to The Daily Crucible through a letter of appreciation jointly signed by Kunle Abiose (Coordinator-General) and
Dotun Adeleye (Secretary-General), said that it did not only find Adeola’s legislative acumen in respect to the Bill highly commendable, but also inspiring to the younger generations who’re daily yearning for relevant skills that would give them a head start in the ever dynamic labour market locally and internationally.
KAF, therefore, urged the Ogun West Senator to deploy all his legislative sagacity to mobilise members of both Chambers of the National Assembly to kindly support the speedy passage of the bill and the establishment of the College.

“We particularly like to commend your focus on the promotion of the next generation of human capital that will take up the challenge of industrialisation of Ogun State and Nigeria, as well as support government’s drive for the diversification of the nation’s economy through the establishment of the College. We did not only find your legislative acumen in this regard highly commendable but also inspiring to our younger generations who are daily yearning for relevant skills that will give them a head start in the ever dynamic labour market locally and internationally. This is more fitting for Iselu and Ketuland with their preponderance of limestone deposit, which is one of the largest in Nigeria.
“It is on this note that we like to fervently urge you to deploy all your legislative sagacity at mobilising members of both Chambers of the National Assembly to kindly support the speedy passage of the bill and the establishment of the College,” KAF stated.
