A socio – political group, Ogun Progressive Forum UK (OPFUK), has commended the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the nominations of Dr. Kunle Salako, Wale Edun, and Bosun Tijani and their subsequent screening and confirmation as ministers by the Senate.
This was contained in a statement by the Chairman, Ms Sade Sobanjo-Etti and made available to newsmen through the group spokesperson, Damilare Oloyede.
Sade Sobanjo-Etti attributed the choice and success of Mr. Wale Edun (Ogun Central) Dr. Salako (Ogun West) and Bosun Tijani (Ogun East) in being listed among the confirmed ministers of the federal republic of Nigeria under the government of President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Governor Abiodun’s policy of inclusiveness.
She also appreciated the Governor for focusing on the foundation it had laid in the past four years with the policy of inclusiveness across the three senatorial districts in the state.
She also congratulated Dr. Salako on his successful screening and confirmation as minister in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sade Sobanjo-Etti describes Kunle Salako as a reputable politician from Ogun West who had in the recent past served as Commissioner for Agriculture, Housing as well as Health in the State.
The forum chairperson said the choice of Dr. Salako in the esteemed cabinet of President Tinubu was highly commendable and well-deserved.
However, she on behalf of the forum, commiserated with Senator Solomon Adeola, (the Ogun West Senator) over the gruesome murder of his aide, Adeniyi Sanni, on Saturday at the Oshodi area of Lagos State.
The forum, which comprises professional Ogun State indigenes in the United Kingdom and cutting across the three senatorial districts, prayed for the peaceful repose of the slain Sanni in the bossom of the Lord.
“We commiserate with Senator. Solomon Adeola, the Ogun West Senator, over the gruesome murder of his aide, Adeniyi Sanni, on Saturday at the Oshodi area of Lagos State. We pray God to grant him, the family especially the wife of the the deceased and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“The Forum call on the security operatives in Lagos State to do all within their power to unravel the mystery behind the killing of such a promising Nigerian at his prime,” she stated.
