All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship candidate and the declared winner of the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has taken the oath of office as Governor of the state.
He succeeds his political benefactor, ex – Governor Yahaya Bello, who many hailed for his eight years of landmark achievements in education, health, security, infrastructure, agriculture, among others in Kogi.
Ododo did not waste time to hint at hitting the ground running by announcing during maiden inaugural speech, the nomination of some cabinet members would be transmitted to the state lawmakers for prompt confirmation as members of the State Executive Council (SEC).
The Daily Crucible reports that some of the Commissioner-nominees are coming with wealth of experience from the immediate past administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
They are Folashade Ayoade Arike, Kingsley Fanwo, Deedat Salami Ozigi, the former SSG and several assistants named with immediate effect.
In attendance at the exciting ceremony in Lokoja, the state capital include Vice President Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje and immediate past Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello among others.
