The Ogun State Chapter, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Mr. Charles Gyamfi, a former State Correspondent of The Guardian Newspaper.
In a statement signed by Oluwaseun Boye; Chairman, and Kunle Olayeni; Secretary on behalf of the executives and members of NIPR, they described late Gyamfi as a conscientious journalist who served the profession with distinction and integrity.
The statement reads, “The Ogun State Chapter, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is deeply saddened by the demise of Mr. Charles Gyamfi, a former State Correspondent of The Guardian Newspaper.
“On behalf of the Executive and members, we condole with the Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on the passing of the seasoned journalist.
“The late Gyamfi was a dedicated and conscientious journalist who served the profession with distinction and integrity. His contributions to journalism, especially as a member of the Correspondents Chapel in Ogun NUJ, will not be forgotten.
“We share in the grief of Ogun NUJ and the entire community of journalists in Ogun State. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
“May the soul of the departed rest in peace and may God grant the family and colleagues the fortitude to bear the loss.”
