A former deputy governor of Ogun State, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, has rallied support for the presidential bid of All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying ‘Nigeria and Nigerians need him now.’
Senator Kaka said Asiwaju – the front runner in the country’s February 25 presidential race, ‘is the best prepared of all the candidates,’ adding that he has demonstrated this through his competence, experience, exposure, and detribalised disposition.
According to the Senator, these attributes placed Tinubu far ahead of his co- contestants – former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), former governor Peter Obi of the Labour Party(LP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party(NNPP) and 14 others.
The ex – deputy governor made this known on Friday in his message to Nigerians, urging the electorate to support Tinubu’s presidential ambition, vote him on February 25 and not allow perceived shortcomings of the APC presidential candidate to make them throw the baby away with the bath water.
Kaka’s message reads:
THE TIME IS NOW !!!

The inspired voice of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has become like a poisoned arrow piercing through many hearts. They seem to have forgotten that there is a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Indeed, it’s time for ceasefire. This time calls for a halt for all on the path of attrition.
Asiwaju, like any of us, is human. He is not infallible. Of course, he has his shortcomings and weaknesses. Like all mortals, he is prone to making mistakes. Naturally, in his many years in the public space, he must have stepped on many toes.
Today, Nigeria and Nigerians need him. We should subdue all temptations to seek vengeance. Let us not attempt to throw away the baby with the bath water.
Asiwaju, no doubt, is the best prepared of all the candidates. His demonstrated competence, experience, exposure, and detribalised disposition place him far ahead of his co- contestants.
May God grant us the wisdom to make the TIME we are in, good in the life of our nation.
To all who have one issue or the other to settle with Asiwaju, I, along with many others, hereby appeal to such for forgiveness. Let us imbibe the immortal words of the “Lord’s Prayer. “Forgive us, as we forgive others who trespass against us”!
Or better still, “Teach us, how best to forgive others who trespass against us “!
In the prevailing circumstances, only the best is good enough for our dear country. The TIME IS NOW for total support for Asiwaju. The odds are in his favour. He has a date with posterity. May we not miss this opportunity!
May God help us to appreciate the TIME we are in, for the good of Nigeria and the benefit of future generations. It is the TIME to make hay, while the sun intensely shines 😇🙏
