Medical Report Affirms No Hymen Visualised In 4 – Year – Old Pupil Of Delta School – Police 

The police have given an update on the 4-year-old pupil whose hymen was allegedly ripped apart with scissors at school in Agbor, the Headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The police say Medical report has affirmed that there was “no hymen visualised” in the girl’s private part.

The minor was allegedly defiled with scissors by the school Proprietor.

The Daily Crucible recalls that Innocent Ezeukwu, the Proprietor of Great Leaders International School, was arrested in connection with sexual assault of a 4-year-old pupil at his school.

In a statement on Friday October 20, DSP Edafe Bright, the Police Spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, said the victim had told her mother at home that her “uncle at school” used scissors to cut her private part.

The proprietor was arrested having been known to be the only male figure in the school.

The suspect was then placed in a line-up of other men and the victim pointed at him as the person who defiled her.

A medical check was done and the medical report affirmed that there was “no hymen visualised” in the victim’s private part.

“Preliminary investigation led to the issuance of a medical report, and the initiation of an identification parade exercise where the suspect, Innocent Ezeukwu when placed amongst random men, was identified by the victim as the person who allegedly defiled her.

“The medical report affirmed that there was no hymen visualised in the victim’s private part.

“Though the Area Command Agbor had concluded their investigation and charged the case to court, there was a counter directive from the Commissioner of Police who instructed that the case be withdrawn from the court and immediately transferred to the State Criminal and Investigation Department (SCID) for further meticulously executed investigation.

“The Police Commissioner of Delta State, CP Wale Abass assures members of the public and the victim’s family that justice will be served; he further appeals that the public remains calm while the investigation is ongoing,” the statement reads in parts.

It was learnt that prior to the Police commissioner’s directive calling for further investigation, the suspect was arraigned in Agbor Magistrate Court by the Agbor Divisional Police Headquarters on Thursday, October 18.

And according to Premium Times, following an allegation by a human rights group in the state that though the suspect was charged with defilement and unlawful assault, but the charge of defilement was erased in the charge sheet.

The case charge sheet was said to have  shown the part of the defilement charge  erased with a white correction fluid apparently to mask or omit the charge of rape against the suspect.
