From Ayobami Ife, Abeokuta
Oba Isese Worldwide, Oba (Dr.) Ifarotimi Balogun, led adherent of the traditional faith in their thousands to celebrate this year Isese Day in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, with prayers for the State, Yorubaland and Nigeria, assuring that the current hardship in the country occasioned by the oil subsidy removal is a temporary phase to better days for the country.
Oba Ifarotimi said the adherent of the traditional faith had known before hand through Ifa Oracle that the economic hardships would first come and last for a moment, explaining that afterwards, it would give way to a new dawn of prosperity and abundance under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urged Nigerians to be patient, saying the downturn is real but a necessary sacrifice that would lead to the prosperity of the nation.
The traditional leader of Isese Day gave the assurance while speaking to newsmen at Ija Ofa area of Abeokuta where the people converged to celebrate their traditional annual day.
He commended the States of Ogun, Lagos, Oyo and Osun which declared Monday(yesterday) as Work Free Day for Isese celebration and appealed to the Southwest States government to sponsor the adherents of traditional religion on spiritual pilgrimage to Brazil as is the practice for the Muslim faithful to travel to Mecca annually for hajji and the Christians who perform pilgrimage to Israel and Jerusalem every year.
