At last, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has named female politician and Senator, Aisha Dahiru, also known as Binani, winner of the Adamawa Governorship election.
The supplementary poll was conducted yesterday.
Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed polled highest votes to defeat her main rival, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the keenly contested governorship race.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state, Barr. udu Yunusa, declared her the Governor – elect of Adamawa, the home state of former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25 poll.
