Hoodlums, about a dozen of them, broke into the Corporate office of the Rock FM Station situating at Mallam Joda area of Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, and looted no fewer than 14 items before leaving the station.
The hoodlums who caused not a small pandemonium and fear among the workers were on the verge of attacking the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the radio station, Oloye Ayodele Samuel, when operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) and soldiers stormed the facility swiftly in response to distress calls and saved him.
The attackers began the assault on the station late Friday night and did not leave until it was morning on Saturday, The Daily Crucible learnt.
Some of the items carted away included two LG Television(43 and 50 inches respectively), Computer Keyboards, UPS, office chairs, according to Ahmad Umar Gassol, the station’s Head of Programme.
