An Ekiti State based chef, Damilola Adeparusi has begun 120 – hour cook-a-thon to break the Guinness World Records (GWR).
Adeparusi wants to surpass 27 – year – old Hilda Bassey Effiong from Akwa Ibom, an oil bearing South South state of Nigeria who unofficially broke the Guinness World Records (GWR) recently.
GWR is a British reference publication annually listing world records, both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
The Daily Crucible reports that Miss Baci had in May hit 100 hours cooking duration, the longest so far and surpassed the previous record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds set by an Indian chef, Lata London in 2019.
Baci’s 100 hours record feat is yet to be certified by GWR but Damilola Adeparusi is already pushing to enter the Guinness book with her 120 – hour target.
According to a Twitter handle, ekititrends, she is doing her 120-hour cooking marathon in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State and she has covered 15 hours already.
