The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Nigerian woman, Emuobosan Emanuella Hall, who is wanted in the United States for failing to report to prison to serve an eight-year sentence for money laundering and fraud-related offences.
The reward, equivalent to approximately ₦6.73 million, comes after Hall allegedly failed to surrender to federal authorities in March 2026 to begin serving her 96-month prison sentence.
According to the FBI, Hall was convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud over her involvement in a romance scam that defrauded multiple victims.
Born in Nigeria on October 10, 1980, Hall was charged in April 2024 for her alleged role in laundering money obtained through the fraudulent scheme.
She was subsequently arrested in Georgia and released on bond before pleading guilty to the charges.
In January 2026, a US federal court sentenced her to 96 months (eight years) in prison. However, she failed to report to her designated correctional facility in March 2026 as directed.
The development prompted US authorities to issue a federal arrest warrant on March 31, 2026. The warrant was issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans following a bond violation.
Hall was later charged through a criminal complaint on April 14, 2026, with failure to appear for service of a sentence. She was subsequently indicted on the same charge on October 23, 2026.
The FBI’s wanted notice listed several aliases associated with her, including Emuobosan E. Hall, Emuobosan Emanuella Erih and “Mobo”.
The agency also disclosed that Hall has known links to Warri and Oleh in Delta State, as well as Abuja, Nigeria. Her reported international connections include London, Gloucester and Croydon in England, and Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.
According to her physical description released by the FBI, Hall is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 87 kilogrammes, has black hair and brown eyes, and speaks English and some Yoruba.
The FBI is offering up to $5,000 (approximately ₦6.73 million) for credible information that leads to her arrest, using an exchange rate of about ₦1,346.22 to the dollar as of October 30, 2026.
The agency has appealed to members of the public who may know Hall’s whereabouts to contact their nearest FBI office or the US Embassy or Consulate.
