As political activities intensify ahead of the forthcoming bye-election for Remo Federal Constituency in Ogun State, Chief Toyin Amuzu, fondly known as TA, has once again emerged as a voice of empathy and reason, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the plight of the people.
Chief Amuzu, a well-respected grassroots mobilizer and Egba Chief, made these remarks during a meeting with community leaders and youth groups in Sagamu while calling for support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Bola Oluwole.
He stressed that political allegiance must never override the responsibility to speak for the people.
In his words, “our first commitment is always to the suffering masses,” Amuzu declared.
“We must never lose sight of those who look up to us for solutions, the traders, the farmers, the unemployed youth, and the vulnerable in our society.”
The traditional Chief acknowledged the growing frustration among citizens struggling with rising food prices, insecurity, economic hardship and deteriorating infrastructure. He said the sentiments is widely felt across the state and country.
“I know the people are confused and rightfully so,” he noted.
“They ask, how can we be suffering and yet still praise our oppressors? I hear you. And I will keep being your voice. We may not have all the answers today, but the truth is always with the people.”
While reaffirming his loyalty to the PDP and encouraging voters to rally behind the party’s candidate in the Remo Federal Constituency bye-election, Amuzu made it clear that his political journey remains rooted in compassion, justice and accountability.
“We will continue to be the voice of the people, no matter the noise around us,” he added firmly.
Chief Amuzu’s statement has drawn praise from constituents and observers alike, who see his words as a bold and subtle affirmation of solidarity with the struggling masses at a time when many politicians appear detached from public reality.
