The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has reactivated its number of sanctions against Lagos State University Ojo for what it the unjust dismissal of five of its members by the installation.
The sanctions prohibit members from having anything to do with LASU or its members of staff until further notice and while the embargoes last, there will be no external examination, conferences, sabbatical exchanges and any other form of collaboration whatsoever with LASU.
ASUU said the current decision marks the first in a series of steps it intends to take to ensure justice for its members.
It also reactivated the sanctions with the affirmation of Lanre Fagbohun as a public enemy of the Union even as it called Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu to end the dismissed members’ ordeals by reinstating them immediately and unconditionally.

Exco members of ASUU-LASU as Dr Tony Dansu, Dr Adeolu Oyekan and Dr Oluwakemi Aboderin -Shonibare, Dr Akinloye Oyewumi and Dr Adebowale Adeyemi-Suenu, said the five were dismissed by the Governing Council based on frivolous charges brought against them by the administration of Professor Lanre Fagbohun.
While the trio of Drs. Tony Dansu, Adeolu Oyekan and Oluwakemi Aboderin-Shonibare were dismissed in 2018, the two others were sacked earlier in 2017.
