People suspected to be bandits have stormed the National Park Service(NPS) Office in Oloka, in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, attacked personnel and killed five in the end.
The Daily Crucible gathered that the attackers struck at about 9p.m. on Tuesday with unofficial reports saying about five NPS personnel were killed during the invasion.
The state Police spokesperson in the state, Olayinka Ayanlade, has confirmed the incident.
Ayanlade said the Oyo Command of the Nigeria Police was yet to identify the perpetrators of the dastardly act against the men of the National Park.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, and other service chiefs have gone to inspect the location while tactical teams, Mobile Police Force officers of the NPF and EOD have also been deployed to the affected area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
