The Southwest Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, has commended the Onilisa of Lisa Kingdom, Oba Oladele Odugbemi, for his outstanding contributions to security and the protection of lives and property in Lisa and its environs.
The Coordinator of the Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, Ifo Command, Mr. Dotun Omotunde, gave the commendation during a visit to the Amotekun office in Lisa, which was donated by the monarch to the command.
Mr. Omotunde described the royal father as a visionary monarch who not only rules but also actively protects his subjects. He said the monarch’s reign stands out as a golden era of peace due to his relentless focus on the safety and security of the people.
According to him, the monarch’s foresight, proactive leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture have made Lisa Kingdom safer for residents and visitors alike.
While appreciating Oba Odugbemi’s support for the construction of the Amotekun Lisa Mega Division office, the Amotekun coordinator noted that the monarch’s continuous support has provided officers and men of the corps with the motivation needed to remain vigilant in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Omotunde stressed that the gesture would further empower the division to maintain a zero-tolerance stance against crime within Ifo Local Government Area and its environs.
He added that the monarch has consistently demonstrated genuine love for his people by ensuring a safe and secure environment for the Lisa community.
Responding, the Onilisa of Lisa Kingdom, Oba Oladele Odugbemi, said the safety and security of his subjects remain paramount to him, stressing that he would continue to do everything within his capacity to keep the community peaceful and secure.
Oba Odugbemi disclosed that this was not the first time he had donated office facilities to security agencies in the community, noting that such efforts are aimed at protecting the people of Lisa and its environs from external threats, especially amid the growing insecurity in the country.
The monarch also urged traditional rulers across the country to complement government efforts in tackling insecurity, noting that the government cannot address the challenge alone. He emphasised that collective action by all stakeholders remains crucial in combating insecurity nationwide.
