The is palpable anxiety over the health of the CEO of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, with many fearing that he has been involved a fatal chopper crash in California, United States.
Wigwe was said to be on board the ill – fated chopper with about five others when it crashed on Friday night.
Multiple sources said the chopper was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California.
The US government has confirmed all on board dead, The Daily Crucible learnt.
Wigwe was said to be with his wife, Chizoba, one of their children and another yet-to-be-identified Nigerian believed to be Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
According to the San Bernardino Sherriff’s department, the helicopter took off from Palm Springs Airport around 8.45pm and was heading to Las Vegas when it crashed around 10pm.
The bank executive, his wife and their son were said to be onboard the ill-fated chopper. The group chairman of the Nigerian Export Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, is also said to have been on the Chopper.
