President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria after spending time in France on vacation, putting to rest speculations surrounding his whereabouts and well-being.
The President arrived in the country following the private holiday, where he had taken time away from official duties.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday after his return, Tinubu assured Nigerians that he was in good health and ready to resume his responsibilities.
He dismissed the concerns that had circulated during his absence, acknowledging that rumours often accompany political activities.
According to him, speculation is a common feature of politics.
“I’m ready to kick, ready to work. There is nothing wrong
“Rumour will always be emanating from politics but the fact remains that I’m here healthy, sound and ready to go,” Tinubu said.
His comments came amid reports and discussions in some quarters and on social media concerning his health and the purpose of his trip to France.
The President’s return means he is expected to continue with his official engagements and oversee the affairs of government after the break.
