The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has said she died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, contradicting reports that she died from breast cancer complications.
Onadeko disclosed this in an exclusive interview with _Celestial Reality Check_, the investigative media unit of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC.
According to him, Osoba had visited Mrs Kehinde Osoba, who runs a church, shortly before her death. He said he was not with her at the time due to church commitments.
The prophet also denied allegations that he diverted money donated for Osoba’s cancer surgery to build his church, saying the funds were paid directly into her account.
Osoba, 40, had openly shared her cancer journey and returned to the public in 2024, describing the period as one of healing and growth. She is scheduled to be buried on August 13, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
Beyond acting, Osoba was dedicated to special needs education. She was an Early Interventionist, International Behaviour Analyst and Qualified Autism Specialist Practitioner, QASP-S, with over 20 years’ experience.
She founded Ri-Care Helpmate Services and held a Master’s degree in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos.
Her work earned her the Woman of Merit Gold Award at the PSR National Awards.
Police authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the circumstances surrounding her death.
